Commemorating the Battle of Beaumont Hamel, the 2009 Run For Freedom is Saturday June 27 in Riverhead, St.Mary's Bay.This year you can register in advance at Toyota Plaza Kenmount Road from 6-8:30pm on Thursday June 25. Race-day registration opens 8:30am at the Royal Canadian Legion in Riverhead and race starts 10am. Chose from a competitive 8k or recreational 5k. $10 for adults and $5 for under 18. Post-race reception at the Legion.
